What is this newsletter exactly?
I don’t know to be honest, I think part of it is my desire to blog again, and a way to update folks about things that are going on in my life and with my creative pursuits.
I have a ton of projects I enjoy working on and this is really an outlet for me to share those. I will keep working on honing in on what this is.
Right now it’s mostly going to be game updates but it could end up as essays or design focused, I’m not totally sure but I appreciate you hanging out with me and exploring this space.
Dire Update
This month I’ve been slowly working through the 3rd level of the game. I’ve gotten a few more props done, and I’ve managed to work out the main-level mechanic, and I’m just fine-tuning things as I work. This level is a massive storage center, the player will be focused on opening a central door that will lead into a large cell-like structure.
I’m hoping to have this level done by the end of June and switch my focus to the last level in the game. Once this level is wrapped I’ll publish another demo on itch.io and gamejolt.
Right now my plan is to get the game basically done, then start to work out a promotional campaign while I’m in the polish mode and adding the feedback I’ve gotten so far.
There is still a ways to go but I feel I’ve gotten the core narrative locked down and now just need to write it up in a way that feels good and makes sense as the player progresses through the spaces.
Inspiration Center
Well, I still can’t just slap Twitter posts in here which is super frustrating, so nothing really for inspiration center this month as I’m looking for a new way to share things that I like.
