Ahh, November.
It’s either cold raining or weirdly warm. When I was younger I remember most Novembers having snow at the tail end of them, but in recent years that doesn’t seem to be the case.
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, we had a great time spending it with family. We had great food, played some fun games as a family, and watched a ton of soccer.
We’re all geared up for Christmas already, the lights are up and the Christmas lofi beats are playing.

Game Update
I’ve chosen to go back to a coding month and an art month cadence. I feel I wasn’t making the progress that I wanted to and things were getting a bit mushy. This month I reworked some of the dialog box scripts and design to fit more with what I needed and started to work on some fall damage. I want to give the player freedom to explore without putting collisions everywhere, so I’m adding in some fall damage so that if the player decides to walk off a cliff it will be handled.
Later on in the game, the player will get an item that mitigates the fall damage, so that won’t be an issue forever.
I’ve also been working on designs for level 3 and prepping for December which will be art-focused and will be nice to work through and come with a series of new screenshots.
I’m also considering changing the name of the game, but more on that later.
Inspo
As always here are some things that are inspiring me around the web. I’ve added a few more things this time around from artstation and dribbble as well. If you have a place where you find things that inspire you I’d love to hear about it.
Well, I hope everyone had a great November. I’m excited for some snow here soon and I hope we can get out on the slopes as a family or get some snowshoeing in.
