Ø15 - Game Demo Released
Hello, y’all.
I hope you’re having a great summer, the weather here has been great and the family and I have been able to get outside and do a ton of stuff already. There have been a ton of great festivals, swimming at the lake, and water fights outside already. We’re building some core memories that’s for sure.
Paran Demo
I was finally able to get the Paran demo launched and out there. You can download it for free on itch.io and I’d love for you to check it out and give me any thoughts. I’m taking a break for 2 weeks before I start to work on the third level and I’ve got some exciting plans for it.
The next level will continue the story and add some more gameplay elements to the game. I’ve got a key and lock system already working and will be adding some power management systems for the environment. I want each level beyond the first 2 to have a bit of a unique mechanic that is really the theme for that level.
There are also a few key art elements that I need to finish up for the new level as well to expand on the lore a bit and to give it a unique look and feel. In total I’m thinking this project will have about 6 levels, I’m shooting for about 30 to 40 minutes of playtime. The middle 2 have the most mechanics and then being book ended by more story-heavy levels.
I’ve still got to go in and do all of the graphics for the Itch page and eventually Gamejolt. I’m thinking I’ll rally around that after I get the third level done and probably start promoting it more.
World of Product Design

We launched our UI Kit for Figma. We’re going to be continually updating this system and really expanding on it. It’s the same kit we use internally at Headway and the team put a ton of hard work into it. You can check it out here.

P.S. Section
We’ve been rewatching Stranger Things to get ready for the season finale, it’s so good.
I’ve also been playing Citizen Sleeper, which has been giving me a ton of ideas for a project.
I’m currently reading The Curse of Strahd for my D&D Campaign.
